Kick off event of the European Media Literacy Week 2022

About the event
The virtual kick off event will be held on 25 October 2022 from 14:00 – 16:00 (CET). A representative of the European Commission will open the event, followed by a welcome address by a representative of an EU Member State. Professor Alexander Stubb, Director of the School of Governance at the European University Institute, will deliver a keynote speech focusing on the political dimension of media literacy and its importance for our societies and democracies. In the follwing panel discussion, five panelists from different institutions are be invited to discuss this year’s motto from a governmental, non-governmental and private sector perspective. The event will be streamed here, and decision makers, stakeholders, and interested citizens from across the EU are invited to join.
